Passive Safety

There has been a growing concern for vehicle occupant safety in the last decade. Roads are being built better and cars incorporate technological advances to reduce probability of accidents as well as their seriousness when they occur.

The UNE-EN 12767 European standard that establishes safety categories for passive road elements in case of impact. Adhorna has approved its highway columns based on this regulation and has accreditation certificate NE Level 2.

This means that our range of RS (SV in Spanish) columns (Road Safety) minimizes damage to vehicle occupants in case of impact and allows for savings on installation of protective barriers (safety fences) as described in Ministry of Development Order 28/2009.
